The Zallie Community Foundation is a public charity that explores philanthropic activities to strengthen communities in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester counties in NJ and Philadelphia, PA.
Each donation request is reviewed thoroughly. There are not restrictions on what you can request, but please know that decisions will be made based on the merit of the request and our budgetary resources.
Before submitting a request for support, please review the Criteria for Support below to understand the types of organizations the Zallie Community Foundation supports.
Criteria for Support
The Zallie Community Foundation can donate in kind products and financial support to organizations that meet at least one the following criteria:
- A 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization
- A school
- A municipality or local government
- An emergency services organization (EMS, police, fire, etc)
Additional Criteria:
- Organizations must serve those located within Burlington County, NJ, Camden County, NJ, or Gloucester County, NJ or Philadelphia, PA .
- Organization’s mission must fit within one or more of our focus areas: Food Insecurity, Health Education or Research, or Community Connections
The Zallie Community Foundation cannot provide in-kind donations or financial support for any of the following:
- A for-profit business
- Organizations outside of our three focus areas or outside of our geographic focus areas.
- Individuals
- Marketing or advertising initiatives such as program ads, signs or advertising
- Political causes, candidates, organizations or campaigns
- Organizations whose primary purpose is to influence legislation
During the application process, you will be asked to submit a letter outlining your request on organization letterhead or a printed flyer about your event. Please have that prepared before you begin. Requests not accompanied by a letter on letterhead cannot be considered.
In-Kind Donation
Apply for a donation of grocery product, prepared foods, or gift basket.
ShopRite Gift Card
Apply for a donation of a ShopRite gift card.
Please note, we do not donate gift cards of more than $500.
Sponsorship
A sponsorship is a financial commitment that has corresponding benefits for the sponsor. You will be asked to provide all sponsorship level opportunities. Please do not submit a sponsorship request without this information as it will cause significant delays in our response.
Financial Grants
We award financial grants exclusively for Health and Hunger initiatives. Grant requests are reviewed by our Board of Directors and decisions will be made based on the merit of the proposal, the completeness of the application, and available budgetary resources.
We do NOT Fund Operational Costs.
Grant requests of $5,000 and above are by invitation only. Invitations will be extended to organizations whose missions align with ours. To be considered for an invitation, please send a letter of intent to Kim Bezanis, [email protected] detailing the intended use of the grant. Consideration will be prioritized for organizations with whom we already have an established working relationship.
